Presidents’ Day Parfait

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt (or Greek yogurt for a thicker texture)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (you can use Cool Whip or make your own)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup granola (or your favorite crunchy topping)
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetening)

Instructions:
Prepare the Fruit:

  • Slice the strawberries into thin pieces.
  • Rinse the blueberries and set them aside.

Make the Parfait Layers:

  • In a medium bowl, mix the vanilla yogurt with a little honey or maple syrup if you’d like extra sweetness.
  • In another bowl, fold the whipped cream or Cool Whip into the yogurt until smooth and fluffy.

Layer the Parfait:

  • In clear glasses or mason jars, start by spooning a layer of the yogurt-whipped cream mixture into the bottom.
  • Add a layer of strawberries, then a layer of granola.
  • Add a layer of blueberries, and repeat the layers until the glass is full.
  • Top with a little extra whipped cream, a few berries, and a drizzle of honey or syrup for a touch of sweetness.

Serve:

  • Chill the parfaits for 30 minutes before serving, or serve them right away for a cool, refreshing treat.

You can also use other fruits like raspberries or blackberries for the red and blue layers.
