Halloween Spider Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Cupcakes:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup whole milk

For the Frosting:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Purple and orange gel food coloring

Instructions:

Prepare the Cupcakes:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, and beat until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  • Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full of the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack.

Make the Frosting:

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, and beat on low speed until combined.
  • Add vanilla extract and 2-3 tablespoons of milk to adjust the consistency. Beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • Divide the frosting into two bowls. Color one batch orange and the other purple using gel food coloring.

Decorate the Cupcakes:

  • Pipe the frosting onto the cooled cupcakes in a swirl pattern (use a piping bag or a spoon for a rustic swirl).
  • Place plastic spider decorations on top of each cupcake to mimic the look in the images.
  • Add additional Halloween-themed candies or decorations, like black icing for extra details or candy eyes for spooky effects.

Philly Steak Sliders Recipe

Philly Steak Sliders Recipe

These Philly Steak Sliders bring together thinly sliced ribeye steak, sautéed onions and bell peppers, and melted provolone cheese, all served on King’s Hawaiian rolls. Prepare this dish effortlessly with the precision and quality of Gunter Wilhelm knives.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Lb shaved ribeye steak or thinly sliced steak
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 oz provolone cheese (or your choice of cheese)
  • 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 tablespoons W Sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Redbeard Seasonings (or your favorite steak seasoning)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions:

Prepare the Vegetables:

  • Use the Gunter Wilhelm Premier ProCut 8″ Chef’s Knife to slice the onion and bell pepper into thin, even strips. The extra-wide blade gives plenty of knuckle clearance, allowing you to chop with speed and precision.

Slice the Steak:

  • For perfectly even, thin slices of ribeye, use the Gunter Wilhelm Brisket Knife. Its long, razor-sharp blade glides through meat, ensuring clean, precise cuts every time.

Cook the Steak:

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the ribeye steak until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Redbeard Seasonings. Stir in the W Sauce for added flavor.

Sauté the Vegetables:

  • In the same skillet, sauté the onions and bell pepper until caramelized. The Chef’s Knife makes the prep work effortless, and its precise cuts ensure even cooking.

Assemble the Sliders:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Arrange the bottom halves of the King’s Hawaiian rolls on a baking sheet. Brush with melted butter, layer the steak, sautéed vegetables, and provolone cheese, then top with the remaining roll halves. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • After baking, use the Gunter Wilhelm Brisket Knife to slice the sliders. Its long blade makes it easy to cut through soft rolls and filling without squishing the sliders.
