JOIN FORCES FOR A HOLIDAY SPIRIT
FUNDRAISING EVENT IN RAMSEY NEW JERSEY

Ramsey, New Jersey: Gunter Wilhelm is teaming up with the legendary professional basketball player Charles Oakley, former Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Houston Rockets star, in a HOLIDAY SPIRIT fundraising event for Operation Barbecue Relief. The Holiday Spirit fundraising event will take place on Saturday, December 16 2017 at 628 Swan Street, Ramsey NJ 07446 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
“We are fortunate to work with Charles Oakley’s Oak-in-the-Kitchen activities and are honored to join forces in supporting Operation Barbecue Relief (OBR) which is making a difference by providing food, hot meals, and support to the local community and first responders in disaster areas,” says David Malek, CEO of Gunter Wilhelm.
“Working with Charles Oakley is an amazing experience, and now with the holiday season, we are happy to support OBR’s fundraising efforts, where each dollar is helping OBR’s volunteers cook and provide food to disaster-affected communities and first responders.”

The Holiday Spirit fundraising event is open to the public and includes the following activities:
- An open meet and greet with the legendary basketball player, Mr. Charles Oakley.
- Mr. Oakley will present his Gunter Wilhelm signature Oak-in-the-Kitchen collection, provide photo opportunities, and autographs.
- Gunter Wilhelm and Charles Oakley will auction a lucrative autographed Oak-in-the-Kitchen package to benefit OBR.
All donated proceeds to OBR; in addition, Gunter Wilhelm will donate 10% event sales to OBR.

ABOUT CHARLES OAKLEY:
Since retiring from basketball, Charles has turned his passion to the kitchen. In 2008, he hosted his own unique cooking show, Cafe Oakley. His specialties are healthy foods with savory and delicious flavors, notably turkey burgers. Charles went on to open Red, the Steakhouse in Cleveland and another location in South Beach, Miami, FL. OBR was founded in May 2011 in response to the need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Missouri, a community of about 50,000 residents. Volunteers from competition BBQ teams from eight states came to help feed displaced families, police, fire, National Guard and emergency personnel.
